It was made in the year of 1612 for protecting Old Goa by controlling the admission to River Mondovi. Previously, the fort used to have an ammunition room, barracks and a church. Once being a place of Portuguese potency and authority; these days, it serves as a Central Jail.

Idalcao Palace: Sultan Adil Shah of Bijapur constructed this palace in the 14th century. Currently, the palace is used as the secretariat. Adjacent to the secretariat is the bronze statue of Abbe Faria, who was believed to be the father of hypnotism.

Dona Paula: It is an ideal picnic place for honeymoon couples. They can involve in enjoying boating rides and water sports. This place is also known to be Lover's Point, which makes it necessary for newly married couple to visit this spectacular sunset.

Bom Jesus Basilica: This special church is dedicated to the St. Francis Xavier, whose relics can still be found in a coffin. The people say that the body of St. Francis Xavier is being preserved without using any preservatives all through these 400 years. Constructed in 1594, this church is an excellent example of Jesuit architecture.

Se Cathedral: The church has inspiring arch shaped interiors and a belfry having a huge golden bell known to be the largest in the world. Its unique interiors, wooden work and carvings make it a must see place in Goa by honeymooners. This church is also adjoined by Church of St. Francis of Assisi and Chapel of St. Catherine.

Kolva Beach: Located at a distance of 6km from Margoa, this beach offers scenic view of sunset and the overlying sea inviting honeymoon couples to spend sometime to be friends with the peaceful water.

Kalangute Beach: This each is located at a distance of 15 km from Panaji and is adjoined by its twin brother known as Candolim beach. The honeymoon couples can laze around or play beach valley ball or even rest to check out beautiful sunsets.
