Christ Church: This yellow Christ Church is the most outstanding building in Shimla , which is reputed to be the second oldest church in northern part of India and was sanctified after 1857. It boasts of a clock that was bequeathed by Colonel Dumbleton in 1860 adding to its magnificence. The church is still famous for its stained glass windows attracting many people.
Viceroy Lodge: Located at a distance of 2km from State Museum, it is a grey colored building surrounded by beautiful pine trees. It was built in 1888 as the housing space of Viceroy Lord Dufferin. Presently, it serves as Rashtrapati Niwas and houses Indian Institute of Advanced studies. This majestic Scottish structure was designed by Henry Irvine and showcases architectural brilliance of that era.
State Museum: It is a great place for tourists, who want to peep into the town's historical past. Built in colonial style with sprawling lawns, it houses precious anthology of coins, photographs, local handicrafts and traditional dolls.
Tara Devi: Located at a distance of 11km from Shimla, this place has a beautiful temple dedicated to the Goddess of stars on the top of the hill by same name.
Naldehra: Situated at a distance of 23km from Shimla, this place offers picturesque 9 hole gold course, inviting hills and huge deodar trees. This makes it possible for the honeymoon couples to take this excursion and enjoy a complete day in conversation with nature.
